  Integrated Body Therapy Certificate  
 

Integrated Body Therapies include a wide range of therapies that involve the manipulation of muscles and fascia of the body as well as stimulation of energy flow and organ systems. Students learn the Rayang™ Technique that consists of the most therapeutic and effective movements of a variety of modalities that includes holistic massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, hot and cold stone massage, reflexology, posture analysis, exercise therapy, and on-site chair massage.

This course is divided into certificate and diploma levels, with the diploma level building on the foundation of the certificate. Mastering the techniques in the certificate and diploma courses allows provides you the confidence and ability to provide an integrated and comprehensive treatment for your clients.

 
           
 
Integrated Body Therapy Certificate includes:
 
           
     
  Day 1 - Qualities, Ethics, Basic Techniques & Back of Body Massage  
 
On Day 1, students will be introduced to the philosophy of complementary and integrative medicine and where massage therapy fits in. Essential theories of massage such as history and development, contraindications, clients consultation, hygiene, draping procedures, qualities of a good massage session, professional ethics, and what to look out for in when choosing massage oils and massage tables are covered.
 
 
 
Students will then be shown 'live' demos of the techniques on the back, the back of the legs, buttocks, feet,by the trainer on another fellow trainer. These techniques are targeted to release tension and energy blockages in the body. Students will also learn to identify and feel the locations where muscles typically band together, and the techniques that can be used to release these areas. After which students will partner up and perform the techniques on each other under the guidance of the trainers.
 
           
  Day 2 - Front of Body Massage & Trigger Points  
 
 
On Day 2, trainers will perform 'live' demos on the front of the body including the chest, abdomen, facial, head, and front of legs. Students will learn the theory of trigger points, where they form, and how to treat them. Students are also taught how emotional blockages stored in the abdominal area can lead to ulcers, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual pain, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Students learn massage techniques and breathing exercises to release these blockages.
 
 
Each day, students are encouraged to pair up with different partners, in order to gain experience in working with a variety of body types.
 
           
  Day 3 - Side Lying Therapeutic Massage & Sports Massage Stretches  
 

On Day 3, the trainers will cover the benefits and applications of side lying therapeutic massage followed by 'live' demos. The stretches and techniques are effective in releasing tension on the legs, gluteal region, and spine. These in turn help to release the neck and cranial areas. Students also learn sports massage and stretching techniques that can help help athletes recover from fatigue and muscle soreness.

Students will partner up and perform the massage sequences from days 1 to 3 with the focus on technique, form, and timing.

 
 
 
 
  Day 4 - Stone Massage & Refinement of Techniques  
 

On Day 4, trainers will perform a 'live' demo on the use and application of hot and cold stone massage for relaxation and treatment. Students will perform the complete sequence of the Rayang Technique that includes all techniques taught from Days 1 to 4.

Trainers will focus on refining the techniques of every student, and emphasize the ergonomics of giving massage for long periods.

 
   
   

 

 
     
Day 5 - Perfection of Techniques, Revision & Assessment
On day 5 morning , students will continue massaging on different partners using the Rayang Technique. In the afternoon, the trainers will conduct a practical assessment for the Rayang Technique under clinical conditions that includes consultation to make sure that students can perform massage safely, professionally, and effectively.

During actual training, students will remained draped at all times and only parts being massaged such as limbs, abdomen, and back are undraped.
